Trasylol (aprotinin) heart surgery drug has been linked to serious side effects in patients and was removed from the U.S. market in May 2008. 50% of patients were experiencing side effects including kidney failure (dialysis), heart attack, stroke, encephalopathy, brain damage, and even death.
