John H. Lovell
John H. Lovell was admitted to the bar in 1984 and practices in the areas
of Business, Energy, and Commercial Law. Prior to attending Baylor Law
School, John utilized his agronomy degree from Texas Tech University as
a rancher near Clarendon, Texas. John is Board Certified in Civil Trial
Law by the Texas Board of Specialization. He is “AV” rated
by Martindale-Hubbell and has been named as a Texas Super Lawyer since
2005. John has been a director of Texas Lawyers Insurance Exchange since 2009.
John has the distinction of trying as lead counsel two related federal
racketeering (RICO) cases in the Northern District of Texas. These RICO
cases involved complicated racketeering activities in multiple states.
Voluminous discovery uncovered interstate transportation of stolen property,
bank fraud, mail fraud, wire fraud, commercial bribery and income tax
evasion. The clients received favorable damage awards in both cases. These
two cases lead to four federal felony convictions. To learn more about
