Kathy Ryan Endowment
The Kathy Ryan Rural Fire and Rescue Endowment Fund was established to honor the bravery of Kathy Ryan, a Borger grandmother, who lost her life in the March 12, 2006 Borger Wildfire, while trying to rescue her elderly neighbors. Her children and the law firm of Lovell, Lovell, Newsom & Isern, L.L.P. wanted to honor her heroism and support fire and rescue personnel in the Texas Panhandle by establishing this endowment.

Applicants must be a current member, volunteer, or employee of a recognized fire or rescue organization in the rural Texas Panhandle (defined as the Northernmost 24 counties in Northwest Texas, excluding Potter and Randall Counties).
