2018 Western Anadarko Basin Oil & Gas Conference presented by Texas A&M Agrilife

Joe Lovell and Brian Farabough presented on the importance of the written agreement and landowner best practices in mineral leasing at the 2018 Western Anadarko Basin Oil & Gas Conference presented by Texas A&M Agrilife in Canadian, Texas on October 2, 2018. This was the first time for this event and it was a huge success. About 250 participants heard presentations from several energy industry professionals on topics ranging from the current energy market to midstream operations in the Western Anadarko Basin. The event was recorded for YouTube, and Joe and Brian’s presentation should be available for viewing soon. Congratulations to Paula Jaramillo

LLIF would like to congratulate Paula Jaramillo for being recognized at the Ninth Annual Louise Daniel Women’s History Lecture and Luncheon held on Friday, August 24th. Paula is a Women in the Oil and Gas Industry 2018 honoree.


Family Care Foundation’s mission is “to assist in the healthcare needs of individuals and the community in a Christian and caring manner while promoting the dignity of the patient”. In the past 21 years, the Foundation has met the healthcare needs of over 7,900 individuals in the Amarillo area. Lovell, Lovell, Isern & Farabough, LLP is proud to support Family Care Foundation in their mission. Without the contributions of donors, the Foundation would not be able to provide much needed assistance to Amarillo and the surrounding area.


The Dalhart Volunteer Fire Department is the 2018 grant recipient of the Kathy Ryan Rural Fire & Rescue Fund. Chief Curtis Brown accepted the $10,000 award from Kathy Ryan’s children at the Amarillo Area Foundation offices. The money will go towards helping build a training facility for fire and rescue operations in Dallam, Hartley, and Sherman Counties. For the full story, please click the link below.

Los Barrios de Amarillo Annual Scholarship Banquet

Lovell, Lovell, Isern & Farabough, LLP is a member of Los Barrios de Amarillo. Los Barrios de Amarillo was established in 1971 by a small group of community leaders and area volunteers to address cultural, educational, and socioeconomic inequities in the Mexican American community. The non-profit organization awards $800 or $1000 in scholarships to students enrolling at a college or university of their choice. Members provide mentor support to recipients during their freshman year.

The 2018 recipient was presented their scholarship at the Annual Scholarship Graduate Banquet on April 19th at Polk Street United Methodist Church. Melissa Smith, a paralegal at LLIF, serves on the scholarship Committee which received more than 100 applications this year.

This year’s recipient is Itzel Esparza. Itzel is graduating from Palo Duro High School in May and will attend Amarillo College in the fall. She plans to become a paralegal and hopes to someday go on to become an Immigration Attorney.

LLIF congratulates Itzel Esparza as this year’s recipient and wishes her all the best as her higher education begins in the fall.

Lovell, Lovell, Isern and Farabough, LLP is a member of the Amarillo Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Melissa Smith serves as a member of its board.

This year LLIF won the 2017 Small Business of the Year Award at the Amarillo Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards and Installation Banquet. 

Thank you to the AHCC for recognizing LLIF and the efforts of its Immigration Office. We are excited to receive this honor and look forward to continuing our work in the Amarillo business community with the AHCC.

In the spirit of the holidays

Lovell, Lovell, Isern & Farabough, LLP held a drive within the firm to raise money to help Faith City Missions. Faith City Missions provides Thanksgiving meals to people who may not have food for the holiday or family to share it with. LLIF helped feed about 250 people through the money raised.

In addition to the donation made for the Thanksgiving meals, LLIF held a “competition” at the firm’s annual Christmas luncheon where the winning attorneycould choose the charity they wanted to donate to as part of their gift from the staff. Faith City Missions was chosen as the recipient of this gift.

Faith City Missions’ work within the Amarillo community is critical and LLIF is proud to support it in its mission.

2017 Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure

Lovell, Lovell, Isern & Farabough, LLP was proud and honored to participate in the 2017 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure which was held in Amarillo on Saturday, September 23, 2017. LLIF, LLP would like to congratulate all those who showed up in support of such a great cause. Together we can do our part to help end this deadly disease forever.

Application for Kathy Ryan Rural Fire and Rescue Endowment

The deadline to file an application with the Amarillo Area Foundation for the Kathy Ryan Rural Fire and Rescue Endowment ended February 9, 2018. The application will re-open in November and the deadline will be at noon on the 2nd Friday in February 2019. The recipient usually is announced sometime in March.
